Australia Child Visa [Sub Class 101]

Australia child visa [Sub Class 101] pathway enables parents to sponsor their children to join them and reside with them in Australia. If the child is younger than 18 years, the parent can make the application on behalf of the child.

This visa is applicable for a child of an:

  • Australian citizen

  • Australian permanent resident

  • eligible New Zealand citizen

To be qualified to apply under subclass 101 Child visa, a child should be:

  • sponsored by their parent

  • single

  • younger than 18 years of age, or:

  • a full-time student between 18 and 25 years of age, or

  • 18 or older and unable to work due to a disability and dependent on the sponsoring parent.

Document Checklist for Child Visa

  • Original Passport of the applicant

  • Certified copies of current passport first and last pages of both parents

  • Photograph of applicant and both parents

  • A certified copy of the applicant’s official birth registration showing both parents’ names.

  • Sponsor’s PR copy

  • Photocopies of the following documents to show your sponsor’s current employment:

  • Income Tax Returns

  • Sponsor’s pay slips

  • Sponsor’s banks statement with sufficient balance

  • Valid original police clearance certificates
