China Partner and Dependent Visa Process & Document Checklist

A Dependent or Partner Visa is issued to individuals who are family members of China citizens or of foreigners with China permanent residence/Work Permit and intend to go to China for family reunion or to stay for a limited period of time. If you are the principal holder of a valid H visa, your spouses, and/or unmarried children (under age 21) may receive an China visa to accompany you.

Applicant’s Document Checklist for China Partner / Dependent China

Copy of Passport (Front, Last page and Visa Pages).
2 Passport Photographs (size 4.5cm*3.5cm).
Medical Certificate.
Spouses need to submit Marriage Certificate.
Details of Accommodation.
Birth Certificates of children[if applicable].
Health Certificate of adult applicant (Appointment Tel: 021-62688851 or Book online here, kid less than 18 years or parents over 70 years old are not necessary to provide the health certificate.

Inviter/Sponser Document Checklist for China Partner / Dependent Visa

Applicant's passport with valid visa
Applicant's Local Registration Form Of Temporary Residence .
Employee's passport copy and working residence permit copy
Copy of employee's company Business License
Copy of employee's company Enterprise Code License
Employee's company letter to apply the family visa- with official stamp
If applicant holds a valid working Z visa now, then a company release letter to prove applicant has already quit with official company stamp is necessary. Health certificate will not be required.
If applicant hold a valid S1 visa now, then the "Relationship certificate" is no need to be authenticated, Original is fine.
If applicant hold other visas now, then "Relationship certificate" need to be authenticated by Chinese Embassy/Consulate in his/her country. If applicant is already in China, then go to his/her Consulate in shanghai to get authenticated also works.
