UK Transit visa has two types: Direct Air side Transit Visa (DATV) which is restricted to 24 hours and the passenger must remain 'airside' and cannot cross the immigration and a Visitor in Transit Visa, which is effectively valid for 48 hours and enables the passenger to change terminals or airports.

To be eligible to apply for UK transit visa the passengers must comply to the below conditions:

•   Should be in transit to another country with enough funds
•   Should have a valid visa for the final country of destination
•   Should be able to show that the sole purpose of visit to the UK is transit

Document Checklist for UK Transit Visa

Passport valid for a minimum of 180 days with at least two blank pages.
Correct visa fee.
Two recent 50*50 size photographs. Please check the Photo Specification
Filled application form and declaration. (Printed and duly signed)
Evidence of onward and return travel to India – confirmed air ticket for onward and return journey.
