Automotive Electricians install, maintain and repair electrical wiring and electronic components in motor vehicles.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications Technolgy or Bachelor’s degree in Computer science
Salary Estimate: Starting Salary: $ 45000 P/A
Senior Salary: $ 11000 P/ A
Average Salary : $ 60000 P/A

Key skills for Telecommunications Technical Specialists
• Trade Certificate in Automotive Electrical Fitting or relevant equivalent
• Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
• HR Drivers Licence essential
• Experience on Cat 1700/2900 Loaders
• Sandvik production and development drills.
• RCT Tele remote experience
• Air Con Accredited
Alternative Titles:
• Automotive Electrician
Requirements:
• Complete relevant maintenance based activities to achieve site production targets.
• Conduct required inspection to maximise equipment utilisation.
• Job Planning Sheets (JPS) are completed as required with accuracy to enable job completion to plan
• Conduct technical inspections and job estimations
• Operate equipment for maintenance purposes as required
• Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer based systems
• using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions
• installing electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles
• connecting power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to power supply
• adjusting engine control systems and timing
• repairing and replacing faulty ignition and electrical wiring
• replacing defective parts such as fuses, lamps and switches
